Marissa Rogers (she/her/hers) earned her Master of Social Work degree from Simmons University, with a focus on children and families. She has worked with children and families across the lifespan from infancy to older adults. Over the course of her career, she provided clinical services to children, families, and individuals across community-based and systemic settings who navigate complex and high conflict dynamics. No matter the environment, she has been consistently drawn to the complexities at the intersection of mental health and the court involvement. While working in community-based mental health, she frequently advocated for clients’ legal rights and helped them navigate complicated systems. Marissa has also worked directly with child-serving agencies including Department of Children and Families and Department of Mental Health, providing assessments, treatment recommendations, and collaborative service coordination.

Her strategy is grounded in trauma-informed care and she uses a strengths-based, child-centered approach that emphasizes emotional safety, healthy communication, and long-term stability. In her role as a parent partner, she has offered parent coaching to caregivers navigating systems involvement, helping them build skills, confidence, and collaborative parenting strategies through motivational interviewing and solution-focused techniques. As a Parenting Coordinator, she draws on this experience to facilitate mediation, provide psychoeducation, and issue binding decisions to help families move forward. Marissa is skilled in building rapport quickly and bringing humor to the work. Her approach prioritizes reducing conflict and empowering parents to create cooperative, child-focused plans that reflect the needs and voices of everyone involved.
