“At The CORE Of Every Good Parent Is A Good Co-Parent”
1) CORE ℠ (short for CO-parenting RE-structuring) is a series of four meetings (plus brief intake & homework) facilitated by a coach designed to help co-parents restructure their relationship after divorce or separation. These meetings aim to help parents create a foundation, or a core, to their co-parenting relationship by teaching basic concepts that parents can expand upon to create their own co-parenting practices. Parents are required to attend the meetings together (virtually or in-person) and are encouraged to attend early in the separation/divorce process. CORE is $550/per person.
2) In addition to our CORE program, we also offer a four-session individual program where you work one on one with a co-parenting coach (without your co-parent) to work on ways you can make positive changes in your co-parenting relationship, even if your co-parent is unable or unwilling to do joint co-parenting work. This program includes 4 individual sessions, homework, and specific coaching directed to your needs. This individual program is $800/person
3) Intensive CORE is a series of nine consecutive weekly group meetings (plus homework) facilitated by a mental health professional and an attorney. Each co-parenting session is conducted virtually in a group setting with other co-parenting pairs and is designed to help co-parents restructure their relationship after divorce or separation. Parents are required to attend the sessions together. The cost of the program is $850.

A multi-faceted family therapy (MFFT) approach is preferred for mild and moderate cases of strained parent-child relationships. This includes parent-child contact problems after separation or divorce when the child may have a good reason to reject or resist a parent; when the reason may be unjustified or disproportionate, or in cases with elements of both.
SDFS provides a flat-fee screening service ($2,000 per family) during which we meet with the parents individually, the lawyers jointly, review pleadings, and craft written recommendations for next steps, which may include admission to family therapy at SDFS or referrals to other resources before family therapy can begin.
If you are interested in this type of family therapy, please contact us at admin@sdfsmass.com to receive more information about our availability and cost of service.

The end of a relationship can often bring about feelings of stress and grief as well as a myriad of emotions that may change depending on the day. Adults may also face additional difficulties as a result of the separation, including legal concerns, parenting issues, housing and work concerns, and co-parenting struggles. A divorce support group can help you connect with other people in similar circumstances, share experiences, process emotions, and receive support. At SDFS, we offer online and in-person divorce/separation support groups for minor children and adults. These groups are run as needed and are typically $40/session
