Co-parenting services
We specialize in working with couples who have a shared goal of collaboration and recognize the importance of reducing conflict in their communications but struggle to problem solve and establish effective methods of co-parenting. We provide ongoing support, mediation, and education to parents as they work together to raise children free from the stress of interparental conflict. For clients unsure if they want to invest in an ongoing co-parenting relationship, please review our CORE and SCORE program which offers a one-time introduction to co-parenting concepts.
Co-Parenting Therapy/Coaching
Co-parenting therapy or co-parenting coaching is appropriate for couples who are divorced, separated, in the process of uncoupling, or who intend to remain together but need help in crafting decision-making structure as it pertains to their shared children. In this role, our clinicians will not often offer a third opinion, but will rather give a space for couples to listen to one another and create individualized communication practices that are appropriate for their family. Couples will work together to set therapy/coaching goals and establish metrics by which to measure success.
Parenting Coordination (“PC”)
Many of our clinicians serve as court-appointed Parenting Coordinators where they employ much of the same skills and tactics found in co-parenting therapy/coaching. As a Parenting Coordinator, we encourage co-parents to come to their own agreements on raising their children. We believe that parents are more likely to stick to a plan if they craft it collaboratively than if it is ordered by a Court or arbitrator. We facilitate this process through mediation sessions and psychoeducation. If agreements cannot be reached, our parenting coordination practice requires a binding arbitration clause allowing the PC to issue a decision that will be binding on the parties until appealed to the Court or further agreement is reached. It is highly recommended that those interested in PC services contact either us to assure availability before motioning the Court.
CORE program
CORE ℠ (short for CO-parenting RE-structuring) is a series of four meetings (plus brief intake & homework) with you and your co-parent and facilitated by a coach designed to help co-parents restructure their relationship after divorce or separation. These meetings aim to help parents create a foundation, or a core, to their co-parenting relationship by teaching basic concepts that parents can expand upon to create their own co-parenting practices. Parents are required to attend the meetings together (virtually or in-person) and are encouraged to attend early in the separation/divorce process. CORE is $550/per person.
SCORE program
In addition to our CORE program, we also offer a four-session individual program (solo-core) where you work one on one with a co-parenting coach (without your co-parent) to work on ways you can make positive changes in your co-parenting relationship, even if your co-parent is unable or unwilling to do joint co-parenting work. This program includes 4 individual sessions, homework, and specific coaching directed to your needs. This individual program is $800/person.
INTENSIVE CORE
Intensive CORE is a series of nine (9) consecutive weekly classes (plus homework) instructed by a mental health professional and an attorney. Each co-parenting class is conducted virtually in a group setting and is designed to help CO-parents REstructure their relationship after divorce or separation. Parents are required to attend the classes together. Each class is two hours per session, on zoom. Optional Add-ons: In addition to the primary Intensive CORE curriculum, we offer the following enhanced services that may be beneficial to you and your co-parent. Intensive CORE is $850 per person.
Private co-parenting meetings with a class facilitator. Research has shown that applying class skills to your specific points of conflict increases co-parenting success. This service allows you to practice these skills on issues specific to you and your co-parent in a controlled setting. We offer two options for these private co-parenting meetings:
Five private sessions beginning at the mid-way point of your Intensive CORE class schedule (weeks 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9). Cost: $100 per hour ($500 total, per co-parenting pair).
Nine private sessions beginning at the start of your Intensive CORE class schedule (weeks 1-9). Cost: $100 per hour ($900 total, per co-parenting pair)
Two-hour booster session 4-6 months after completion of Intensive CORE. Participants often express a desire for follow-up coaching several months after completing the program to further reinforce the tools learned in class. This 2-hour booster session can be scheduled with a class facilitator within 4-6 months of completing the Intensive CORE class. Cost: $100 per hour ($200 total, per co-parenting pair).
