Nicole Magiera (she/her/hers) earned her Master of Social Work from Salem State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychological Sciences from Purdue University. She is a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Massachusetts and is certified in MATCH-ADTC, a modular CBT-based treatment for children and adolescents. Her work has focused on children, teens, and families, with a particular emphasis on behavioral parent training, exposure-based therapy, and supporting families involved in complex systems of care.

Her clinical experience spans primary care behavioral health at the VA in Bedford, community mental health, and outpatient settings. She has worked closely with child-serving agencies, including the Department of Children and Families and local school systems, providing assessments, case management, and family-based interventions for families navigating system involvement. She brings a collaborative, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach to her work, with a deep commitment to empowering families and promoting long-term stability.

In her clinical practice, she integrates motivational interviewing, MATCH-ADTC, and cognitive behavioral therapy to support children and caregivers in building effective skills and improving their relationships. She is particularly drawn to work at the intersection of mental health and family systems, and enjoys helping families improve communication, reduce conflict, and build stronger, more connected relationships.

Colleagues describe her as calm under pressure, skilled at building rapport, and consistently non-judgmental—even in high-conflict situations. She brings this steady, compassionate presence to support families in developing cooperative, child-centered plans that meet the needs of everyone involved.
