Meghan Honigman is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with experience as a forensic mental health practitioner, both in criminal and family courts. She received her B.A in Psychology from the State University of New York at New Paltz and her M.S.W from Boston College. She earned an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Work with Children, Youth, and Families from Boston University, a Certificate in Criminal Justice from Southern New Hampshire University, and is trained in Psychological First Aid and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.
Meghan’s clinical experiences range from providing counseling to individuals and families in residential treatment and school settings to working as a crisis clinician and supervisor at a psychiatric crisis team. In addition to her work here at SDFS, Meghan works part-time at the Middlesex County Veterans Treatment Court and oversees the Veterans Wellness Program at the National Lancers Stable in Framingham. Meghan uses an evidenced-based and integrative approach to treatment, employing a variety of techniques that build on the strengths and capacities of individuals and are tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals.
Meghan is currently accepting cases for therapy, child custody evaluations (Category E GAL), and parenting coordination.
