Leah Sherman-Collins (she/her) is a psychotherapist and Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Boston College. Her experience spans a variety of settings including outpatient therapy, college counseling, community health, and residential settings. Leah completed a post-graduate fellowship in behavioral medicine and integrative psychotherapy, where she provided therapy to individuals, couples, and families. She completed an internship in forensic work in the Boston College Legal Assistance Bureau in their Innocence Program, Immigration, and Civil Rights Clinics. She also brings experience in supporting couples living with health challenges, utilizing behavioral interventions to increase dyadic collaboration.
Leah’s practice is centered around helping her clients live a life with meaning, joy, and purpose by working together to address what may be getting in the way. She is skilled with helping people navigate these challenges at the individual, familial, and systemic levels.
Leah’s clinical interests and experience include working with relational trauma, anxiety disorders (including OCD), and chronic illness. Leah’s work primarily centers around parent coaching, co-parenting support, and individual and family therapy. Always compassionate, collaborative, and optimistic, her approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and LGBTQIA+ affirming. In her clinical work, Leah thoughtfully integrates different evidence-based approaches with her clients’ wisdom and personal experience to support her clients’ goals.
