SD Family Services, Inc. (SDFS) was founded by Premela Deck, JD, PhD, LICSW, to provide a multidisciplinary approach to clinical and forensic services that support the overall wellness and life satisfaction of our clients. At SDFS our experienced therapists use a variety of evidenced-based approaches to ensure that you receive the best care possible. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or life transitions, we offer a safe and collaborative environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings.
In addition to traditional therapy, SDFS has a robust forensic practice where our clinicians provide clinical and evaluative services for court-involved clients.
Clinical Services offered include individual therapy, couples therapy, discernment counseling, and family therapy. We also offer group therapy for individuals of varying ages from elementary through adult who are affected by divorce or separation.
Forensic (court-involved) Services offered include child custody evaluations (Guardian ad Litem or “GAL”), report services, mediation, parent coordination, parent/co-parent coaching, therapy for parent-child contact problems, individual counseling for children/adults involved in high conflict divorce and/or the family court system, and case consultations for lawyers and litigants.

We understand that clients walk through our doors with a host of difficult, life-altering issues and that each client and their circumstances are unique. We take time to work with our clients to understand their circumstances and develop client-led treatment goals.
Taking Care of Children
The legal community routinely calls upon us to serve as Guardian ad Litems, Parenting Coordinators, and Family or Child Therapists. We are mindful of the impact of shifting family dynamics on children, and our diverse education and experience position us to handle shifting family dynamics with compassion and tact.
