Jessica Greenwald O'Brien, PhD, is the Clinical and Forensic Director at SD Family Services.  She has been a practicing pediatric forensic psychologist for the past 28 years.  She earned her doctorate in clinical and forensic psychology at the University of Nebraska’s Law & Psychology Program.  She completed her post-doctoral training in trauma and family forensics at the Victims of Violence Program at The Cambridge Hospital and the Children and the Law Program at Massachusetts General Hospital, both of Harvard Medical School. Most recently she was the Director of the Center of Excellence for Children, Families & the Law and the Child and Family Forensic Evaluation Service at William James College.  

 Her interests and expertise in trauma, maltreatment, child development, delinquency, coparenting and intimate partner violence guide her private practice, which includes forensic evaluations with youth and families, and consultation and teaching for attorneys, parties and courts.   Additionally, she has worked with teachers, school specialists, mental health professionals, and administrators to augment trauma-sensitive approaches in schools.
