Kim M. LaDue retired in late 2024 after a distinguished career within the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court system. Having served as the Judicial Case Manager and First Assistant Register for the Norfolk Division, Kim offers a rare inside perspective on the court process. This background allows her to guide clients through mediation with an unrivaled understanding of how the court functions, what judges look for, and how to reach resolutions that truly work within the system and, most importantly, work for families. Her background also provides her the wisdom of seeing the importance of assisting parents in working collaboratively to address the issues affecting families every day.
Kim’s deep procedural knowledge was forged through years of leadership in both the Norfolk and Suffolk Divisions. Before her tenure with the Trial Court, she served as Assistant General Counsel for the Department of Developmental Services, where she handled sensitive cases involving guardianships, extraordinary treatment matters and advocacy for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Kim also worked with the Child Support Enforcement Division of the Massachusetts Department of Revenue where she obtained child support orders for families.
A former President of the Massachusetts Association of Women Lawyers, Kim is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law and the University of Massachusetts. She is also a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Massachusetts Family and Probate American Inn of Court.
As a certified mediator and conciliator, Kim now uses her years of courtroom insight to help families find clarity and resolution outside of a traditional courtroom setting. These skills enable her to help parents navigate the difficulties of reaching agreement on a myriad of parenting decisions as a parent coordinator.
