About Me

Isabel is a recent graduate of Smith College’s School for Social Work, where she studied clinical social work with a social justice focus. She completed her first internship in the LA public school system, where she practiced Solution Focused Therapy to support students from a wide range of backgrounds in building social-emotional skills. Isabel’s second internship was at Brigham and Women’s Hospital with their outpatient behavioral health service. At BWH, Isabel worked with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide care to adults based in Massachusetts. Before attending Smith, Isabel worked as a direct care supervisor at Pacific Quest, a horticultural therapy-based short term residential treatment center, which served adolescents and young adults in crisis.

Isabel approaches her clinical work with systems-oriented, client-focused, and psychodynamic lenses. She has over 10 years of experience working with youth in educational, therapeutic, and outdoor settings. In her practice, Isabel integrates a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Isabel brings an attentive and warm presence to her sessions and deeply values the importance of unconditional positive regard towards her clients.
