What is MFFT?

Multi-Faceted Family Therapy (MFFT) is a structured therapeutic approach designed for families experiencing strained parent-child relationships following separation or divorce. MFFT helps parents and children rebuild trust, improve communication, and strengthen emotional connections while navigating the unique challenges of post-divorce family life. By addressing both behavioral and relational dynamics, MFFT supports healthier, more cooperative family interactions and fosters positive outcomes for children.

It is appropriate for cases where a child may:

  • Have a good reason to resist or reject a parent
  • Be resisting without a clear reason
  • Have mixed, complex reasons
